On
July 17th 2024, the secretary General of South Sudan National
Examination Council (SSNEC) Simon Nyok Deng apologized to the public, saying
his institution failed for over seven months to release the Certificate for
Secondary Education (CSE) result because of financial problems.
“On
behalf of the National Examination Council (NEC) and on my behalf, I would like
to take this opportunity to apologized to the general public particularly to
the 2023 candidates, parents, schools and all the other stakeholders for the
delay in the release of 2023 CSE examinations results which has been caused by
circumstances beyond NEC’s control. ”
Simon declared adding, “The delay happened because the council is unable to
obtain the remaining funds to facilitate the final stage of processing the
results.”
