National Examination Council says lack of funding delays release of Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE)

On July 17th 2024, the secretary General of South Sudan National Examination Council (SSNEC) Simon Nyok Deng apologized to the public, saying his institution failed for over seven months to release the Certificate for Secondary Education (CSE) result because of financial problems.

“On behalf of the National Examination Council (NEC) and on my behalf, I would like to take this opportunity to apologized to the general public particularly to the 2023 candidates, parents, schools and all the other stakeholders for the delay in the release of 2023 CSE examinations results which has been caused by circumstances beyond  NEC’s control. ” Simon declared adding, “The delay happened because the council is unable to obtain the remaining funds to facilitate the final stage of processing the results.”
