On 5 November 2025, The Ministry of General Education and
Instruction (MoGEI) received essential equipment to strengthen the monitoring
and supervision of education activities across South Sudan.
The handover was conducted by UNICEF to the
Minister of General Education and Instruction, Dr. Hon. Kuyok Abol Kuyok, in
the presence of Deputy Minister Hon. Martin Tako, Undersecretary Hon. Kachuol
Mabil Piok, and senior Ministry officials. Also in attendance was the Global
Partnership for Education (GPE) Secretariat team, currently in the country for
a field mission.
The equipment package includes one vehicle,
33 motorbikes, and 84 computers, all procured by UNICEF under the Transforming
Education in South Sudan (TESS) programme, funded by GPE.
This support marks a significant step
toward enhancing the Ministry’s capacity for effective oversight and
data-driven decision-making in the education sector.
