Warrap State Governor Lt.
Gen. Francis Marial Abur, rang the bell on Monday to kick off the primary 8
exams, marking an important milestone for pupils who will soon advance from
primary to secondary school.
The examinations commenced
on Monday 18th November 2024 with Christian/Islam Religious
Education (CRE/IRE). This will be followed by Social Studies on Tuesday and English
language on Wednesday. Science and Mathematics exams will be conducted on
Thursday 21 and Friday 22 respectively.
The exams, which are a
crucial part of the education system, will test the students’ knowledge and
aptitude in various subjects.
Successful completion of
the primary 8 exams will ensure that the pupils are able to move on to their
next level of education and continue their academic journey towards a brighter
future.
The governor encouraged the
candidates to write their exams well and lead South Sudan in the primary
leaving examinations nationwide this year.
The state minister for
Education, Deborah Awut Mayom, urged the candidates to focus on their
examination papers and appreciated the committee that brought the examinations
and the security personnel who are guarding the examinations.
Deborah encouraged the
pupils not to panic and be distressed but to concentrate to produce good
results.
More than eight thousand
pupils are taking part in the exams. The candidates comprise of 4660 boys and 3342
girls.
